One of the hardest things about this project is drawing in someone else’s style.  It’s not really my favorite thing to do, although it can be fun (when done sparingly). And I don’t feel too creative, either.

What we’re trying to achieve isn’t to IMITATE Frank Miller but to create a different style that EVOKES Miller’s Sin City.  Sure, the lighting, and the splashes of color are reminiscent of Sin City, but we still want to capture the spirit of Zelda. We want you to instantly recognize Zelda and Link, despite that maybe Zelda is kind of skanky looking and Link isn’t wearing his elf cap and they’re all in stark black and white.
